Default '93 Civic CX HB O2 sensor - to emulate or not??? Or other suggestions...

Ok... this is my first post... My setup is '93 civic cx with '89 DX D15B2 engine... everything else is fairly stock on the car. The O2 sensor went bad and I replaced it with a cheap universal bosch single wire O2. The check engine light still comes on... even after resetting the ECU. I had plenty of power before re-installing the exhaust system... CAT-back... I do have to admit that I removed the CAT Internals to facilitate better flow. I want to eventually run headers on it... but as for the O2 problem... what can i do to eliminate my problems...??? should I run an O2 emulator... or does anyone know of a better solution??? I did learn that the '92 and '93 CX models had a special O2 sensor, which is really expensive... Should i save my money and replace it with the stock sensor, or replace it completely with an emulator???

I am currently running a PO6 ECM (37820-P06-A00). It was replaced last summer when my battery had a little melt down... and fried the ECM... I don't know what the previous ECM was... I do still have it somewhere... if I need it.

Thanks for the help.

I did run across a web site that was really educational... It is:

http://www.o2simulator.com/

I also found a link for building your own O2 sim...

http://www.mkiv.com/techarticl...lator/

check it out!!!
