o2 sensor help
i bought a o2 sensor from autozone and when i put it on, my check engine light still sayed on and it threw the same code (41), why is that? i have a 93 dx hatch, but autozone gave me an o2 sensor that goes to a 93 cx hatch, would that matter? also, the wires from the bosch o2 sensor are, 2 black, 1 white, and 1 gray, the wires from the stock wiring harness is 1 black, 1 green, and
2 white, which wires go to where? would it be better just to buy one from the dealer?

Go to the dealer and get an OEM o2 sensor . It seems that aftermarket o2 sensors aren't accurate enough in the tolerances, and the computer sees the bad signal therefore setting off the check engine light

An OEM O2 is gonna cast you atleast $160. That is the cheapest I've found it for.

Re: o2 sensor help (W.ZeroB18C1T)
i called a honda dealer today and they will have the oem o2 sensor in tomorrow morning. it cost $209 for it. i don't think i want to pay that much for a sensor.
i did take the o2 back to autozone and i got my money back. it wasn't a direct plug in like i thought it would be. i had to splice the wires from my stock harness and connect them to the universal o2 sensor. the sensor they gave me was a 4 wire o2 sensor, but it was the part number for a cx, not a dx. i ordered one today for $59 that comes with the plug in harness so i will see how that works when i get it tomorrow.
thanks,

Evans Honda has them for around $30 but they are used off slavaged cars. I got mine for around $30 shipped and have had no problems! I've also used the Autozone universal o2 with no problems in the past.

Re: o2 sensor help (nsxmatt)
autozone has them for the cx and vx hatches, they just don't sell them for the dx hatch. they sold me one for the cx and i'm figuring thats why it didn't work.

Re: o2 sensor help (dniedacess)
the same thing happened with my o2 sensor. the damn sensor didn't want to come out. we ended up stripping it and everything, the damn thing just wouldn't come loose. luckily i got some stainless steel headers so i didn't need my old headers anymore. my friend also has some stock headers that i will take just incase i need stock headers again.
i got the o2 sensor from O'Riley's and it worked just fine. it pluged right in and i didn't have to splice any wires or anything. my check engine light turned off also!!
