i have a 92 civic sedan. dx.
just bought 93 ex tranny, axles, flywheel, P28 ecu, bidding on an engine harness, and will be buying a d16z6 with all the excesories and complete engine, minus the rods and pistons, but it will come with b16a rods and pistons. not installed.
i will then this winter rebuild the d16z6 and install it in the spring with a complete turbo kit.
engine
d16y8 intake manifold, ls throttle body, either eagle rods, and JE pistons, or turbopandas setup, darton sleeves, new bearings, and thrusts, turbo sohc cam, AEM camgear, p/p head, and hopefully lsd for my tranny.
just installed another stock d15b to get me through the winter to to fit up all the turbo stuff. ill be running vafc and dsm450cc injectors, either go with hondata, or urber data in the spring with the swap. im waiting to get updated pics of my project to update the thread i had started about a month ago.

ok if i use the dx harness. where it plugs into the firewall harness. which wires run to the ecu for the vtec silinoid and the pressure switch?
if anyone has this info that would be great this way i can just add the 2 wires to my dx harness and make it a factory ex harness.

hey tom are you saying, that even the dx harness will work, meaning not just the firewall to ecu is vtec ready, but the engine to fire wall is too? you can use any of the wireing harnesses?
thanks

No, the engine harness is not embedded with the VTEC wires. He was stating that you can simply add the three VTEC wires to the DX engine harness.
Just add a connector from the VTEC solenoid to the Grn/Yel wire at the shock tower harness.
Then for the VTEC oil pressure switch, match that with the blk/blu wire at the shock tower, and for VTEC pressure switch ground, tap that into the thermostat housing ground.
