92 Civic CX... turbo..? I searched.
Since you cant just search 2 letters, I was unable to find any info on people turboing the CX. Does that just not happen cus its such a weak engine?
Do people just basically swap a new motor in this car for extra power? I'm just about to get this hatch on a trade, and its pretty stock at the moment.
I put most of my time and energy into my DA, so I'm not familiar with the EG just yet.
Thanks for all the help.

i would just put a dohc motor in there, and be done with it. But if u want to turbo the single overhead, then i would do the z6, it can push up to 350 whp.....done right.

no the vetc doesnt totally matter but its good to have.... people are saying use a z6 because of the 55hp more than the cx so your already that far ahead... plus isnt the cx an 8 valve?

I would like to extend my apologizes. I was in no way disrespecting Vtec. I use to run a z6 in my hatch. I was speaking in regards of compatibility.

Re: (LS95eg)
lol yea the cx engine is 8 valve ( sic ), and i would listen to everyone and get a z6 because the d 15 which u can boost... as said u wont realli get anywhere, it starts off at like 70-80 hp, ( also sic ) and has rods and a crank a lot weaker than a d16, look around there are plenty of guys on here that can help u out on pushing 200 whp safely from a d16 or a jdm d15, but the cx engine is a no no, hehe i suggest doing it right the first time, youll be glad that you did.
p.s. another option if swapping engines make you poo ur pants, you can do a mini me, if your pistons have the 16 valve relief which i beleive yours does.. jus search

That's what was originally thought here as well. Some of the people who have removed CX heads on this very site have come up with 16 valve heads and 16 valve pistons.

Re: (Ricey McRicerton)
Saw something weird too...
we remove the head of a cx engine and it had 8 valve head but 16 valve relief piston (engine was never touch at all) like if honda knew we would like to change to 16 instead of 8 hehehe... so the job was easier

Re: (Ricey McRicerton)
if yoru trying to turbo a cx try and find a d15b7 head along with the intake mani. swap head throw a turbo kit on and boost that bitch.
the d15b8 block has the same rods and pistons as the b7
