Re: 92'-95' Manual Rack Rebuild - Options
Spent a few hours on the car after getting home from work. I rotated the tires back, that didn't seem to do much. Then I started backing off the adjustment ****, did it three different times. I think what I was describing as "fight" through the steering wheel was simply the fact that the steering was too heavy. While it would still self-center it took a lot more effort than normal on-power so the steering felt pretty unresponsive on-center while on-power. I feel like the more I back off the adjustment the more nimble and flickable the steering feels, so I may have another go with backing the adjustment off later this week.
My goal is going to be to get the effort to a minimum without any play on-center. Before I touched the adjustment bolt after my alignment I had about 1/16" of play on center. I now have zero play, but still want to see if I can get the effort down lower. Thanks 94eg!, you've been a big help.
