Default 92-95 H Brace

does anyone have this on their car?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...33591

just curious to know where it bolts on. also, would interefere with the ST sway bar i have on the car.

just to stiffen up the body a little bit is the reason why i want it.

that bar is made by a company here in walnut called megan racing. the bar bolts on like a front lower tie bar and the other two ends goes on the front cross-member a great addition for suspension enthusiast.

a buddy of mine is currently using that bar on his 93civic 4door with 95si hatchback front sway bar. you might have fitment issues with the suspension techniques front sway bar.

the bar overall has some benefits but the problem is that its not engineered to fit on directly. we had to extend the holes(the part that goes on the front cross-member) twice to make it fit.

i have it on my car...works well...only problem is it's relatively low (clearing 4-1 headers)...so it tends to bump on speed bumps which is not good...bad streets will do some damage...other then tat it works awsome IMO

sorry no pics. the bar serves a purpose for performance upgrades and not show. just look under your car and try to picture it, "front lower tie bar that ties to the front cross-member. it works well for suspension nothing more.

all front lower tie bar will sit low and scrape on speed bumps not advisable with cars lowered 2-2.5.

if you're front cross-member hast been modified in any way it should fit but you might want to consider the fact that h22 with an aftermarket header in an eg chassis might cause fitment issues.

i dont want it for looks, i like my car stiff without any body roll(st). just curious to know where it bolts on, cuz i honestly cant visualise it, i mean i know where my original tie bar(which i broke going over a street which the tree roots had pushed up) bolted. but where does the other end go?

the other end goes where the suspension techniques d-brackets bolt on too. not the one on the front lower shocks but the one underneath the front cross-member. you cannot use the h-brace with the suspension techniques front sway on your hatchback.

I have one on my ex coupe. As far as fitment goes it is a little smaller, what i did was just put the two front bolts in loosly, as well as one rear one. Then the last one did not line up so i jiggeled it around got the last bolt so that it would at least get some what in the hole, then used a impact gun a drove that sucker in. I felt a difference on mine cause i had a 2 point on it befor (which is for sale )and now my car handles alot better i cant even tell that i dnt have PS. Even my friend who has a cx hatch says that my steering is looser then his. And as far as clearance goes it dose sit a lil low but i still have the z6 in and if you have a larger diameter header it may not clear. And my car is not that low (cause it is pointless to sit on the ground) so i dnt have to worry about hitting things. I can take pics of it later if you want me to email them to you, or i can email them to someone to post them.
