92-95 b16 swap
I am swapping in a b16a2 engine into a 92-95 civic ex. I dont have the ex harness.
I have a jdm b16 (obd1) harness. I want to connect my 0bd2 engine harness into my 0bd1 car. Thanks for the help!

leave the stock civic harness in the car. get yourself a P30 or chipped P28(to run B16). and an OBD1 B series dizzy. plug and play. the CKF will not be used though , which is fine. you dont need the OBD2 harness to do this swap. nor do you want the car to be OBD2 for that matter.

Re: (yeah_its_fast)
dont matter what harness you have , matters what ecu is on the other end of it. OBD1 is better than OBD2 yes. if your car works good itsfast , and you got no codes , and dont plan on going boost , than leave it as it is. dont fix it if it aint broken , lol.

i dont know if its fast.......how would i go about that? j/k
actaully i have seen videos of other obd b16 (jdm) and the vtec snaps hard or harder than mine. i think its because i have a p73 ecu rather than a p30

Re: (yeah_its_fast)
your running a B16A with a P73? lol. no wonder. your vtec prolly aint kicking in till 6000. i think its 6000 for ITR. in order to run a P30 youd need to convert to OBD1. im wondering after thinking for a sec , what ecu did delsol VTEC's run in 96-97? cause other than that , there is no 96-98 VTEC ecu for B16 USDM cars i dont think. goes right from OBD1 , to OBD2B?
