Re: 5 bolt swap on my 99 civic si (SilverRed)
I take it u mean five lug...it has bigger rotors and calipers but imho just stick with ur 4 lug and upgrade to brembo blanks and hawk pads...besides i dont think its worth the additional weight other than to just say I have five lug...

my boy had them on his b16 ek hatch...said that the braking was better than his se-r spec v..but has not made comparison to the stopping power, only about weight...i would think it would make a difference in stopping, but how fast do u plan on going...???how long have u had the current set up on your car that its shaking now??

Re: (SilverRed)
Just upgrade your rotors and pads. 5 lug is for JDM fan boys with money to blow on non-functional **** (see: red interior, no airbag) It looks nice, but not worth it lol.

lol WHAT?!!
First off, OEM quality> aftermarket quality.
If you did go with a mix-match of OEM parts, it's a good, cost effective idea, but, with my 5 lug, If i ever needed a rotor, I didn't need to special order it. I would go to a parts store....and they'd have what I wanted. I wouldn't have to order specially redrilled rotors every time.
I got my 5 lug for around $350 with wheels..and a LOT of other stuff...rare stuff.
It helped a lot. I road raced my hatch (that I should have never sold) and the 5 lug really did help.
It looks freaking awesome. Aesthetics and presentation is important to me. No matter what I'm doing. I HAVE to road race...but I HAVE to look good doing it. I also HAVE to look good wherever else I go. It's nice having rare, expensive parts.
I also never pay full price for anything. I guess if you paid $1500 for your 5 lug and wheels, it would be slightly irritating and the "im so cool, look at me" factor would wear off when people saw you were wearing 5 year old jeans because you spent all your money on your 5 lug...
I'm so vain.

Re: (REAL TIME)
^ Nice. People with taste and a sense of flair are becoming rare now a days lol.
Dont get me wrong, I like functional ****. It just has to look good, that's all.
Diggin the spoon calipers. Do you have to use spacers for those on stock CTR/ITR wheels?
