Default 2 questions...

I recently purchased a d16y8 to swap into my 96 cx 3dr... What I am wondering is a couple of things, Firtst is what ECU would best fit my application (it needs to be vtec, although I'm sure you knew that.), I know that I will prolly need an odb1 ecu and conversion harness. I plan on getting boost later and possibly using hodata - if that matters... second would be a tranny, what are some of the d-series manual tranny options, if any... Thanks in advance...

yes, but if i am not mistaken, when using boost it is best to use an odb1 ecu. I could be wrong, I have read so much on this board that I am kinda confused...

well then youll need 2 to 1 jumper harness and youll need to change some parts so it can be compatible with the ecu. for the obd1 ecu, id suggest a p28 chipped.

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by O.G triple O.G &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">well then youll need 2 to 1 jumper harness and youll need to change some parts so it can be compatible with the ecu. for the obd1 ecu, id suggest a p28 chipped.</TD></TR></TABLE>

After the changes get a chipped P28
