2 problems for EK coupe.
Well I thought this was happening due to my head gasket being blown, but it just got fixed.. and its still happening.
96 Civic DX, Automatic
1) During cold start ups (car being turned off minimum 10-15 minutes) it will have a hard time starting. So, I just turn the key on and off to pump some fuel, and that helps it to start, BUT.. when it does start, it will be shaky and than it slowly dies out, UNLESS.. I put it into gear and than its fine and dandy.
The main relay, fuel pump, and fuel filter are all good. Some things I didn't check yet is the FPR, Fuel Injectors, or Fuel Rail. I can suspect that it might be bad gas, b/c when my mom used my car, she put Rebel gas in it (I always go to Shell or Chevron) and maybe it just ****ed with it, or somethin.
2) Before my car was sent into shop, the acceleration was quick during 1st gear (like from a stop at a red light), but now i have to push the pedal maybe more than half way for it to pick up enough speed, so that i could at least keep up with the traffic.
Could this be somethin with my acceleration cable? or.. is it because im still in the "breaking-in" period since I had my head rebuilt?

Re: 2 problems for EK coupe.
just check the rest of the stuff u need to check..injectors, regulator, fuel rail..ect..
prob ur inj. are full of gunk n ****..replace the plugs also. all that will do some good..u should feel the diff..
bout the acceleration prob, its probably due to that issue at start up..double check ur cable though..lol ...

Re: 2 problems for EK coupe.
if your cable is wrong, it should be running below 700 rpms at idle, or stall out, Take throlle cleaner and clean your tps and iacv spots.
If you want to know if your fuel system is working, pull out and injector and have someone turn your car over it should squirt fuel.
Do you have any CEL's on?
