1997 Honda civic factory alarm problems
I just bought a 97 civic lx, when you walk up to the vehicle and unlock the doors with the remote, when you open the door there is a high pitched sound (like when you leave your headlights on). When you put the key in the ignition, it goes away. Does anyone know how to fix this? Or cut a wire to disable the alarm?

Replace the factory head unit with an aftermarket (such as a Pioneer) CD/MP3 Player and the factory key less entry won't work anymore.

Ok, that would be one way, i was not really wanting to spend any money fixing this problem, what about the button between the am/fm and cd button on the radio, does that have anything to do with my problem?

I went to honda and although they did not look at the alarm, he said it sounds like an after market, anybody know how to take these off?
