1994 Civic LX - Code 6 (fixed issue but code will not clear, not a noob)
1994 Civic LX D15B7 Automatic.
Was getting Code 6 - Hard starting until engine was warm.
Replaced Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor and fixed the hard starting issue runs great now.
Pulled Back Up Fuse, code still there after reset procedure.
Pulled negative cable off battery, and back up fuse, code still there after procedure.
Seems like perhaps something is storing power to the back up fuse or back feeding power so the ecu is not resetting.
Was going to follow the Mitchell Flow Chart for testing the ECT Sensor, but since the issue is now not hard starting but not resetting the ECU, I dont feel as though its necessary.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

How long did you remove the Back Up fuse?
Have you open and short tested the two ECT sensor wires?

I removed the back up fuse for about a minute the first time. Which is usually good enough on most of the OBDI cars I work on.
But I have done the procedure about 5-6 times on this car now and have had the fuse out for up to about 10 minutes at a time.
I havent followed the flow chart yet since the running issue is fixed, but ill do that now and get right back to you.

Flow chart led me to a small break in the red/wht wire.
Thank you for your help. Appreciate it.
