why not just get one of them laser pointer temp guns , and point it at your radiator hose when the gauge reads "normal: and then when the gauge says its over heating retest the same spot and compare temps " i posted that half way up the page . try it , you will determine if its overheating or not

Please, your a moron, I was 2 grades above All through middle school. but yet i was hustling to get by. got cought up and got expelled 8th grade. Did my last two years of high school in 1 year and took the high school exit/SAT's and passed at 15 1/2 So please Shut up your a moron!
the only advice ill give you is next time look Top to bottom before you buy a car.

Well what i would personally do is run it. if its gettin done what you need done then let it do it. quit tinkerin with it if it runs fine and just the stupid gauge is f*** up. If it goes bad spend 500.00 bucks on a y8 and drop it in. a garge could get it in for you for like 1200 bucks and you have a new car. does it show any symtoms of over heating when you run it when while the gauge says its running hot?? It might just be a hose thats a little to long and is just crimped enough to slow the flow of antifreeze. From expieience its probobly something far more simple than you think. Just take a real carefull look.

Not sure if this has been covered or not, it hurts my brain deciphering the OPs posts.
Does the temp gauge go past normal values if the turn signals are used? You definitely have a wiring/gauge problem. Go to a salvage yard as soon as possible, before you car starts on fire.

From what i understand from his new thread , he took the car to a mechanic and realized he needs a new cluster AND the head gasket is blown .
