14 inch azenis on steelies?
I am a student and have limited money.. I have a 98 civic and am not concerned with style at the track.
I am contemplating buying 14 inch azenis and just puting them on my spare steelies. Does anyone have any reason why I should not do this?
I am asking cause i have never seen anyone put a performance geared tire on a steelie

Re: (solbrothers)
i honestly wouldn't waste you're time, why are you gonna out "performance" tires on a very very nonperformance car. Just save up until you can do something actualy effective to the cars performance, instead of wasting you're time and money.

Don't listen to these guys. If you're going to track it, tires are the single most important improvement you can make to the car, next would be good brake pads.
Nothing wrong with Azenis on steelies. The downside of the steel wheels is that they're heavy. Other then that, they're fine, tougher than an alloy wheel too.
I once drove straight into a curb in the snow. Continued driving and heard a hiss every time the wheel went around. Stopped the car, grabbed a hammer and beat the wheel back into shape with the hammer. Try that with an alloy wheel, it'll just shatter.
