instructions on radio relocation to the console area?
I've seen it done and I'm pretty sure I could do it but I wasnt sure if someone had taken the time to do a write up on specifics. My biggest question is how do you mount the headunit in the console? Do you cut out your own mounting ring?

Some of them have had tape deck down there and the receiver on top. Usually just take out the tape deck and pull your stock harness down... then get an stereo harness from an audio store and then there should be plenty of wire to reach down there. So basically if you already have some knowledge in wiring up stereo then just remove and install.

Yeah it's pretty straight forward. The wires will reach fine.
The difficult part a mounting it securely and getting the unit to fit all of the way in. Just becreative and have a few pieces of scrap metal with some hardware.
My head unit stuck out about 1/8" of an inch because of the piece of metal behind of it. That piece could easily be bent with a hammer.
