Hey everyone,

I have a 2000 Honda Civic Si and have never had any trouble out of it until here recently. The other day I went to start it, it kicked on for about a second or two and then the motor quickly died on me. When I try to start it, it's like it's almost about to kick on, but never does. The power and the radio still work on the inside. I checked all the fuses and nothing is blown. The distributor cap was in good shape still. I just have no clue what is wrong with it. I heard that it could be a fuel pump that had gone out, but it never gave me any signs it was about to give out. Any help or ideals as to what could be causing this would be greatly appreciated.

Make thread titles that summarize the tech problem -- edited.

Does the starter crank the engine but it won't start? If so, listen for whether the fuel pump primes and check for spark at all 4 plugs.

check for fuel, spark, fuses. if you dont have fuel but spark then fuel pump, filter, injectors. if you have neither then its main relay

Chek if theirs spark in wires if no spark its prolly ignition coil

Id say the coil. Had the same problem b4. Good luck

If u have gas .. i'd say check the spark ... if no spark .. change the coil
