Yes my o2 sensor hit my shift linkage. Is the manual cat different? I just used a MIL eliminator off of eBay and tie strapped it up.

I still have a horrible idle problem. I troubleshot it down to the ECU and r2 that and it still didn't fix the idle. I think it's the old B16 throttle body that has a FITV on it that I didn't hook any coolant hoses to????

Took me the better part of two days and still going because I obtained a bad starter and I obtained the wrong tranny mount, Im not to sure on how long I have to bleed my clutch for but I have back pressure but not alot like my friends does. He said I need to drive my car to see where its at and then come back and rebleed it a few more times. Any suggestions? i did mine and have the same car 1997 honda civic ej8 ex and my 02 sensor is fine the only problems im having is my idle

I'm new to this so I was wondering if you could possibly do a auto to manual conversion on my 2000 dx hatchback since you've done it before and I'm local within socal. If you could, please let me know how much.

Thanks

thats odd it only comes back every 3 days. Is the CEL coming on?

You can try cleaning the iacv, I spray it out with brake cleaner. You can may want to check some other things like a vaccuum leak (left my cruise vaccuum hose loose one time and had the same jumpy idle). I also had an alternator go bad that cause the same jump in the idle. Other then that I would try swapping out the ecu with another.

***warning***

if doing an eg swap do not connect the 3 black wires, only do the 2 big ones. the little black wire will cause a fire! i learned this quickly! mine is a 93 dx. so cant say it will happen to all but this is just my experience. Luserkid i took a crap load of pics for the eg swap and if you would like them posted on here as well lmk this thread served me very well through the whole process. thank you

Damn i have never heard of a fire happening. But you are right you dont need that little wire. But i dont understand how it was shorting to cause a fire unless it was grounded somewhere wrong. The wires suppose to be blue not black though.

Either way if you can zip all your pictures and send them to my email and ill look to see which i need and ill post them on the first page

OK this question is for the auto flywheel, when you take off the 6 bolts, there is a washer like thing in between the bolts and the flywheel... OK do u use that 6 hole washer thing in the manual flywheel when you bolt it on ... i am sure u do but better safe then sorry!

Thanks!

alright another question about:

Intake Manifold

When its off make sure there is NO gasket on the head so you could have a good seal. If you think you might pull the intake manifold off again and want that gasket off with ease spray some WD 40 on it and next time its easy to take off.

When you put the new intake on make sure you go in this order:

.....4...2.....3....5....
..6..........1...........7

First about the gasket, is it between the intake manifold and the block or are you talking about something else ? That last part of the paragraph got me confused.

Second what should the torque specs be for the manifold if any?

yes there is a gasket between the intake manifold and block. That is the torque sequence that he posted. Its a bitch to scrape the old gasket off. I replaced mine with a hondata gasket, possible performance benefit but Ive reused mine several times with no leaks which is the real benefit to me.

The torque specs on the intake manifold nuts is 17 ft/lbs.

You really should consider buying a helms manual, it makes everything sooo much easier. Or at least download a copy.

I meant spray the gasket. I was talking about taking the gasket off so you spray WD40 on the gasket when you put it back on. Ill fix it....... someday

Did you guys ever figure out what was the cause of the rear o2 sensor hitting the shift linkage? I'm encountering the same problem on my 99 hatch using a 99 EX cat. I just swapped in a B16A2 motor and I'm attempting to re-use my stock rear o2 sensor.

This is as far up as I can put the shift linkage w/ the o2 sensor installed in the cat.

you're going to have to relocate that sensor or wire a simulator in there.

Marksae, Can you take a picture of where you drilled the holes for the linkage? Also what linkage is that?

I didn't drill any holes as my car was a manual to begin with. I was just posting about the o2 sensor mounting.

*EDIT*
It's a DC2 shift linkage.

Ah ok, sorry usually when people post in here they post about auto to manuals as well.

Have you tried a 99-00 Si linkage? I believe that one can clear the 2nd o2 cat without replacing it. Because Integra does the 2 bend motion while SI's only do a one bend.

Oh! I didn't know the 99-00 Si linkage was different. I'll have to try that. Thanks!

Yea whenever i do swaps (96-00) for people and they want to keep it legal (BAR in cali) everything has to be from an SI (mounts, linkage, etc).
