Default "washing" an engine out

may be a pretty stupid and retarded question but can you wash out an engine with water? Open the filler cap, open the drainer plug, let the oil drain til it drips, use a hose with a nozzle-thing and use the filler cap hole, blast the **** outta the inside, keep the holes open for a few days and let it all drain/evaporate/etc (and obviously somehow filter the holes so no dust and **** gets in.

It may be pointless and dangerous but just wondering. Was hoping to maybe wash out any gunk and **** in the engine. Or are there any other ways to get **** out without having to pay someone do it.

Did you read what he wrote? He wants to put water INSIDE THE MOTOR to clean it out. This is, in no way, a good idea.

If, by some chance, you are talking about just washing the motor itself, then yea, cover the electrical ****, get some Gunk and simple green and go to down. I wouldnt' use a pressure washer though...
