Haha...na actually I'm serious. One time I had to get a lot of speed in reverse to get up my snowy driveway and turned the VSA off. I had seen posts saying you could hit VTEC in reverse but I wasn't sure til it happened lol.

If they wanted you to shift into that gear while moving, the engineers would have added synchros. The one time you make the mistake and do it wrong might be all your trans needs to stop working.
whatever man.
no need to say I'm spreading stupid ****.
wtf.
get off your high horse.
its not like I am telling anyone to do it without caution.

You ARE spreadin stupid ****. I'm not on a high horse at all. I'm just sick of people telling others that all of this BS (this, shifting w/o clutch, powershifting, etc.) is okay simply because they've "done it without any problems so far". You shouldn't be telling people to do it at all.

Its not that im obssesed with my MS3 or anything. Its just thats all i have to compare to lol. I kinda troll around cuz i enjoyed my stay here at Honda-tech and like to pop in every once in a while. Only problem is now I own a MS3 lols.

Dont get me wrong I love my car. ITs a beast and i like that i can compete with higher tier cars like S2k's and G37's. But i gotta love those SI's ha ha, i have a soft spot for them. Especially when I see one screaming at the top of its lungs on the freeway. You know I gotta start something lol but only because I miss mine. Anywho...

Problems with them??? Dont get me wrong there are problems just like every other car. But what problems do you hear exactly? I mean I know they blow if you mod the **** out of them. Being that its only a 4 year old car and you run into problems just like the SI. These cars are reliable but when pushing like 400 whp the Reliablilty kinda drops.

Most people that go boom boom in there zoom zoom are running either a boost controller and or big turbo. Which in this car = a no no. For instance my friend blew his engine because when its cold his boost gauge peaked at like 30 psi. So of course it went boom.

So yea what problems do yo hear? Not saying there isnt any because there are but just wondering?

This thread = fail

Putting ANY honda into reverse while rolling is plain stupid. It is like trying to go into 1st gear while rolling. As other people have pointed out it is a stright cut gear with no syncro. Just put it in reverse and go on your way, there is deffently no need to 'jam' it into reverse while rolling down a hill or whatnot. Be smart and save your gear box by doing it the right way, because down the road it will just cause a shitload of headaches.

I agree, those poor lil civics need 3k+ to keep up with me. I do it while making half the noise and twice as much torque. MS3 FTW

BTW, they blow when you go against the norm and go big turbo and stuff. Rod KNock is caused because this car has a over sensitive Sensor. 1.0 knock is like 0.
