Default HELP Intake info needed==== Dose a Intake Kill your Warty. ????

1.I was thinking of Added a Intake I hear they can add Power? How much power ?

2.Dose adding a Intake kill your Warty? Or if you get a Intake at a Honda Dealer is that
the best way to go?

3.Will your car still pass smog and all the Laws with a Intake?

4.I hear as well that a intake can help with Gas MPG ????

5.Any other info on what you think would be great it is for a 2006 LX Civic Coupe.

Thanks.

not necessarily MINIMAL hp... there are engines that benefit more from CAI than others. K20's seem to take the intake very well and make use of the colder air rather efficiently.

From my experience the AEM cold-air intake is the best because when it comes time to smog, it's actually one of the only legal intakes you can put on your car. But as far as voiding the warranty? I believe that it only voids the warranty in what you modify, not necessarily the whole car...does that make sense? (i.e. modifying the suspension voids the warranty on the suspension, etc.)

1. Some 'supposedly' boast up to 10hp boost. (Typhoon)

2. Service manager at my dealer told me the only thing any modifications can void is parts DIRECTLY effected by the part you added.

3. Believe So.

4. I don't think so...

5. He's right, shaq sucks. Then again, I support mavs.

Hi Guys thanks for the help I went out today and had the OEM fog lights installs
and a AEM cold-air intake. I hear it is one of the best as pass all the laws.

Do you guys like the AEM stuff? What that a good pick?

I put the aem intake on, the only thing i don't like is the big open spot now where the factory airbox was, just looks like something is missing. I don't know if it helps much on hp and gas mileage but it sounds awesome when the vtec kicks in. I have an si, not sure what it will sound like on the lx.

Do you guy Feel the AEM cold-air intake is safe. I just got it on friday but now I
have this big fear of water. The guy told me I would have to drive it into a lake
to hurt it. I live in So.Cal. I was thinking of buying one of those Injen cool air
covers to feel safer what do you guys think?

Do you guys feel the AEM cold-air intake is just as good for the motor as the
stock get up?
