It's just JDM bling, it is not worth the price. Granted it will perform marginally better than a stock intake, there are better, more reasonably priced intakes available. For the best performance you will want to get a tuned length and size intake, however that is not always affordable or suitable for everyone; so, a reasonably priced intake, that performs well of a broad variety of engines would be a three inch intake with a velocity stack.

Re: Arc intake em1
Any reasoning behind this intake? Independent dyno results showing that is performs better that other "shelf" intakes?
Also, remember that with a cold air intake there is the possibility of hydrolock, so be VERY attentive when you are driving in the rain, or get a bypass, or switch to a short ram or stock intake during the inclamate weather season(s).

no where does it say it performs better. and it is an off the shelf intake.

Re: Arc intake em1
If you read my first post you would see that I too said that the ARC intake is not worth the price and I am fully aware that the AEM V2 is an off the shelf intake, but what I am getting at is why should someone get the AEM V2 intake (which you are suggesting) over another intake [Injen, Comptech, Samco, Ebay 3 inch intake, etc.(all of which I would personally combine with a velocty stack)]? You seem adamant about persuading the op to purchase the AEM V2 intake, but why should he/she when it is uncertain that it outperforms brands X,Y or Z intake system; after all, you said "no where does it say it performs better" so why should someone purchase an intake that may or may not perform well?

just put an ebay one on there then. its like $30 and they arent bad. Unless your really trying to squeeze out HP. If you just want a little boost Ebay intakes are fine.

I personally love the way it looks in the bay. but if your strapped for cash then yea an ebay intake would do the same job.
