FA5 Tire Recommendation
Hey guys,
In the market for new tires soon and want to know what other people like or have tried out. I don't really have a budget in mind and am pretty open to anything. I do want a comfortable ride with performance, all season tire.
I have a few in mind right now. Tire size is 215/45R17
BFGoodrich g-Force Comp-2 A/S
Pirelli P Zero All Season Plus
Continental ExtremeContact DWS 06
Michelin Primacy MXM4
Those are a few I'm considering. Any one tire better than the rest?

Re: FA5 Tire Recommendation
I have done a little bit more research and found that I would prefer a different Michelin and a BFGoodrich.
Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3+
BFGoodrich g-force COMP-2 A/S
They are both Ultra-High Performance tires. On TireRack they are the #1 and #2 UHP tire on their testing.

Re: FA5 Tire Recommendation
Both have lower tread wear ratings than the Michelin Primacy MXM4, which are the standard issue from factory for my 2010 FA5. If you want grippy, get the Pilot a Sport or the BFGs but you will be replacing them sooner.

Re: FA5 Tire Recommendation
Well my Michelin stock tires had dry rot by 25k miles on my 08 FA5 the Honda dealer wanted to replace them(not free either) but I didn't want crappy tires so I went with the Pilot sports and they are fantastic I have the older as 3's (not the newer plus with better snow performance) hard to believe both tires are from the same manufacturer they are so different . The service manager at the Honda dealer was trying to feed me this line of bs that the oem tires are worse than the same replacement tire but I told him "if you had a set of tires that only lasted half the expected mileage would you buy the same ones and hope for a better result ?)
