Check engine light after PGM FI update !! CIVIC 2006
Hello every one, how are you?
I just bought CIVIC 2006 a couple months ago and did all the required maintenance, and I found there are software updates for the PGM-FI and A/T, after doing the PGM FI update the check engine light came on the dash !! after that I had hard time to connect the vehicle to HDS where the device requires VIN, and after entering it just this message came " The Engine is Running Try Again Later " while its not running !!!
After long struggle I was able to connect it to the HDS and I found this code " Internal Circuit Failure in Keep Alive Memory," after that I did some investigation and found that EVERY single CIVIC 2006 specifically had the same exact issue after the new software had been installed !! and 3 of them were able to address the issue by resitting the ECM after the awful struggle to connect the vehicle to the HDS !! but mine the issue seemed to be solved after the reset but the Check Engine light came back immediately after turning the ignition switch OFF then ON again !!
Any idea about this software Bug and did HONDA do anything to solve the issue ??
Note : the procedure of updating the ECM has been followed strictly, a booster installed then the updating process has begun, it takes 1-2 min long !
Thank you
