well im at 60100 and i had a check engine light come up , should i be worried?

hmm. let me think. if i were to get a check engine light, what would i do....
go get the cel scanned to see the code maybe???

thanks smart ***, i know i got off work at 6 and all the places were closed, it was a simple question is there a check engine light for a 60k maintenaince or is it something else

there's usually a "Need Maintenance" Light for that under ur Odometer for that, but as for your CEL.....you most likely just have a bad sensor somewhere. just go have it checked on a Sat when ur not workin'. u should b fine! just outa curiosity, did this CEL affect your performance at all!?

nope no performance change at all, it was like it never happened besides the bright *** yellow engine on my dash

eh, i wouldn't be worried too much then. most likely something small. just get it checked when you can and fix it then. shouldn't be that big of a deal. I assume it's still under warrenty? if not, still, no biggie.

it was the front oxygen sensor, anyone have a spare one lol, 226 dollars geeze

Check engine light = Problem or issue needing to be addressed...
Maintainence light = Idiots guide to dealer making money off of the customer...

O2 sensors are expensive, but in the long run they'll pay themselves off in gas money...
