Blowby or Normal Crankcase Pressure, K20Z3
Hi All!
I am new here...after looking for an answer to my question for well over a week I'm stuck. I recently acquired a 2010 Si coupe with about 100k miles or 160 thousand km. Upon doing an oil change, I had the oil cap off at idle (was making sure I had it on tight enough)...I noticed some fairly strong air "pulses" and a "chuffing" noise from the filler cap. I don't see any smoke whatsoever from this hole, and the engine appears to be running strong and smooth. When I place a piece of paper against the filler hole it flutters strongly, resting the oil cap on it's threads results in it sort of dancing around, but not flying off or anything. Is this normal for K20's or have I accidentally purchased a huge problem?
Any advice would be much appreciated,
Chris
