V-Tech and Other junk
V-tech:
Can you add V-Tech to an engine that does not come with it stock?
If so what all do you need and what are the steps involved?
Other Junk:
I drive a 2005 Civic Lx With a D17A1 motor.
What should I do with this motor? Turbo? All Motor? Swap?
I need Ideas so hit me up if you have anyhting.

Ok, here we go again guys...
It is spelled VTEC. No hyphen, no H, just plain, unabused VTEC.
Second, Yes, you CAN add an EX VTEC head to your a1, but do you REALLY want to spend the 500 bucks or more to get 10 whp??? thats like 20 bucks/hp.
Third... theres a little feature here on Honda-Tech that will be your best friend, or your worst enemy. Its called the <FONT COLOR="red">Search</FONT> feature.
Use it, because we regulars here, see this same question all the time.

That thread originally got closed. Then the OP of that thread started another one asking why it got closed, bitching all of us out. So the mod who closed the first one opened it again so he could have his question answered...rofl. And what's funner is in the second thread, he was worshipping you, Red_Em2, saying that you were the best and you wouldn't tell him to search and nobody on Honda-Tech would do that either.

do you have vtec???
cause if you dont, im sure you'd prolly look into getting a head swap too.
vtec makes a bigger difference then you think, especially when you dont have it at all.

i'm gonna do it, if i dont endup doing a swap before the end of the year which is highly possible

Sorry if you think we're all tossers, but if you only knew how many question about "vTak", "Vtek" or "Vtech" we had in here, you might understand our predicament a little better. Its a minor detail, true, but when it happens so regularly, its one that still grates everytime.
