How long does it take to take you guys to change the Timing Belt?
I have done timing belts before, a long time ago on my B16 CRX and more recently on VW's/Audi's so I have experience doing it. How long does it usually take you guys to change the belt, pump, and tensioner.
The Civic is a DX so non-vtec if that matters.
Thanks.

It's best to plan on spending the day doing it. You never know what other kind of "problems" you may run into.
I can't count the times I've ended up spending an entire day on something that should have only taken a few hours. Something's seized, something breaks, something strips.. .. there always seems to be something.

Just did this yesterday. It took me all day. I had to replace the crankshaft oil seal there was a lot of oil down there so that ate up some time. Also my lower timing belt cover had a big crack in it and fell apart when I took it off So I had to run to Honda to get a new one.
Like the guy above me said. Just plan a day. Something will hold you up.

only thing that ever held me up was the crank pully bolt - use a decent impact gun & a short extension, should zip it off. if your gun's no good, you can pick a decent Ingersol rand at a pawn shop for $40 or so.
