Time to change the timing belt

Default Time to change the timing belt

oK say i have no way of knowing how many miles are on my car... how will i know if i need to replace the timing belt... visually speaking.

sometimes you can see hairline cracks. if there are any, time to change it

if there are any obvious wear marks or tears. But, usually timing belts don't show when they are about to break, they just will. If you don't know, might as well replace it.

Dont take the chance change it and the water pump while you have it that far torn down, might as well replace the Alt. belt, A/C belt, and P/S if you have these as well. A well maintained motor is priceless!!

I think I need to change mine. I believe there is 105,000 miles ( ) on the original. I'm not sure though.

supposed to change them at 65,000

the timing belt is not somthing to neglect. if it breaks
so does your motor.
ive seen it happen. not pretty. not happy people eithre.

yeah, definitely worth changing. ive seen belts that looked fine, but broke when i pulled on them , a timing belt will start to BARELY show tiny cracks at about 40,000 mi. so change it.
