High RPM at idle honda civic 2004
Hi guys nice to meet you.
Honda civic si 2004 manual transmission
I was getting high rpm at idle last week. 2200rpm 2000rpm
And it was falling down at 1500 etc was strange...
Then I cleaned my iac valve. Car was working fine for 5 min then goes back to 2200 rpm.
I changed the iac.... Then now sometine it works good 400 500 rpm at idle and sometime 1500.... Any idea?

Well since you changed the valve, it may be a vacuum leak, throttle cable too tight, idle screw screwed to far. About all I can think of. Did you also clean the throttle body and iacv port?

TPS maybe? When my car started doing that, it eventually lead to the rpms jumping up and down. I tried a new tps and problem went away.

Happened to me, all I did was clean the TPS sensor and put some dialectic grease on the connections. Worked for me. Do you have any check engine codes?
