phunhaus. With the spacer, with the rod you attach to the clutch pedal. Was there still adequate amount of length/thread?
You would need to twist it almost right to the end of the thread wouldn't you?

Paul - that depends on the thickness of the spacer. Obviously if you get a spacer three feet thick it won't reach. Mine is roughly half an inch - about 14mm - thick. I don't think the jam-nut and bracket moved much, if any, from their original location which makes sense considering for stock throw on a LHD car you have to thread up half an inch.
This really is much easier to do than to read about. If you pick up the MC, buy the right fittings, remove your old MC, and try to install the new one with the fittings attached. You'll see how much you need to space it out. If worse comes to worse and you make the spacer too thick, it's easy enough to make another longer U bracket to attach to the pedal arm.
From what I've seen of your EG I know you're more than capable of this level of fabrication. If I can do this without any guidance using only a drill and a hand file you should have no problems at all.

Spent the weekend cleaning up the bay of this K20 EM2
-we relocated the fuse box into the hood cowl
-moved the battery over behind the passenger side bumper
-switched the engine harness to come out of lower grommet
-switched the chassis harness to come out of the upper grommet
-ran the headlight harnesses through the wheel wells
-removed the large plastic wire harness cover
-eliminated the metal hoses for emissions
-removed insulation material from the firewall
Before we started
much much better
Still needs more work. We wanted to sleeve the entire harness but we ran out of time. That will have to be next time.

Your right. I was just wondering if it required modification on the rod at all with the spacer. Good to know.
Press drill with a huge bit ftw.
Nice job on it. I'm not sure where id find a piece of steel/aluminium that thick local. I'll have to shop around.

Melbourne is about 30 mins from me. I will wait awhile first. I should be able to make one if i can find some material. I would just buy myself a large enough drill bit and i have everything else i would need to do the job.
