I dunno if I would do that if I was painting my car
Dunno about degreasing either, Id be scared of it doing worse damage than already done</TD></TR></TABLE>
After wet sanding theres gonna be alot of fine dust on the car, so its a good idea to just use a sponge and some water to get most of this off. Then you let the car dry and go over it with degreaser on one towel and another cloth to dry it. After degreasing try not to touch the panels with your skin. Then use then go over the car with a tack cloth right before you start to shoot.

Re: (Bunz)
So it looks like Im just sanding down the afftected areas and a little around them with 220/320/400 grit then wiping with a degreaser and spraying again
Gonna try and make the car clean as hell, I dont know why though, I spray painted my car not to long ago and did the same thing. unless he had some weird **** on his car of course

yes but what i mean is you need to get a grease and wax remover from a autobody shop i dont no if a autoparts store will carry it
And what i am saying about painting just the affected area it is hard to blend a area in if you dont have expereince with it so your best bet is to sand down the area then go over the rest of the side with like a 600 just to make sure the paint will stick and redo the whole side or the colors will be offand you will see where you resprayed the area

What no one talked about yet:
What type of paint was on the car already, and what type of paint did you use?
Urethane and laquer paints are NOT compatible! If you're spraying urethane paint over Laquer or spray can paint/primer, then it can react like that as well. Laquer paint however can be applied over a urethane paint.
That's why all DIY people should NOT use Spray can paint/primer whatsoever if you are planning on painting the car! Laquer stuff is outdated, old school, inferior, and todays paints will not work with it.
