Default Winter Tires for a 2010 Accord

Hi everyone,

I've been reading this message board for sometime since I got my 2010 accord and it's been very helpful when I'm looking to find out about my car. I thought I would pose this question here because I'm looking to get some steel rims and winter tires for my car and driving it without the tpm pressure sensors. Will I have issues driving the car in the snow if the TPM sensors are missing? I understand that the 2010 Accord will not allow you to disable VSA feature and could cause issues with getting out of snow when my car gets stuck. Is this true? Will I actually need to get sensors or will the snow tires be sufficient enough to prevent me from getting stuck? Also if I don't get the sensors on the winter tires should I have my original stock tires marked to confirm where they were mounted on the car? From what I understand the sensor has to be updated with a tool that the dealerships have each time the tires are rotated. Thanks for any help on this.

I think you should put the winter tires on your car.It would prevent the car from being stuck.

You don't really need steel rims. Go to your local tire store see what their prices are. They should be reasonable. If not order the tires from tire rack.com, THEY HAVE THE BEST PRICES/Customer service/ shipping time. Have the tire shop mount them on the stock wheels and set the TPM.

bridgestone blizzaks are the best snow tires. around 70-100 bucks a piece
