Default Looking to lower my car and need advice

I have a 2004 accord coupe 6-6 stock suspension. Im looking to lower it about 1.5" or 2" I've heard the stock shocks blow out if used with a lowering kit. Is this true? Im looking at the Ground Control lowering springs available for my car and do not want do aftermarket shocks with it is this possible? Trying to save myself some money.

How many miles are on your car? You can use stock struts, but they will blow out sooner than later. I just bought some Tein H-Techs and I am going to be using the stock struts until they blow. Then invest in some better struts.

Ya i would definitely be prepared to buy new struts, are you doing the work yourself or taking it to a shop? If you are paying to get them installed I would suggest getting the struts at the same time so you don't have to pay to have the work done twice.

There are many options, I would suggest got to driveaccord.net or v6performance.com and search on those sites. They are both really good sites with alot of informormation for our cars there.
