Honda spent all day with my 2004 accord today trying to program a new key fob i purchased from them. Honda said it wouldn't work, they blamed it on my remote start (prostart from Canadian tire) they told me to remove the remote starter and come back only way it will work. They got the new key fob to unlock and lock doors but won't start the car. 130$ i payed for a spare key that don't start my car just locks and unlocks my doors. When I start my car with the remote start, I can put new key fob in and drive with it, just wont start. If I do have to remove remote starter can I just unhook (unplug) security bypass module used for remote start and bring in that way? My tundra has a aftermarket remote start and i had a new key cut and programmed at toyota with no issues and works well.
