2004 Accord Radio/Display Not working
The issue is actually with my mom's Accord. My '02 and '11's are fine, neither have stumped me like this one has.
It's a 2004 EX-L V6 Coupe around 65,000 miles. She said over a year ago that her radio and display panel stopped working. She says she took it to a shop and they said it was the motherboard, however the mechanic is "old school" and isn't all that familiar with the audio/electronics aspect. I was in the car this week and with the sun hitting it at the right angle realized that the display is actually there, it just isn't backlit. I was able to read Error 303 I believe it was on the screen and was able to confirm that the clock was on and the climate control display did respond to the dials.
I've checked the fuses, and now after discovering that the display is actually there and working I have to think the motherboard theory was incorrect. Is there a way to get the back light back on? And if so is anyone familiar with this code and how to trouble shoot it? Also open to aftermarket headunit options if the stock unit can't be fixed. The least I can do it fix her radio since she passed on the '02 to me when I was 16...which I couldn't part with even with the edition of the new one, it's is still my work road warrior.
Thanks in advance!

Re: 2004 Accord Radio/Display Not working
yes it is the circuit board, but honda had a warranty extension on this for 7 years - 100,000 miles. if you are over the warranty the board is only $100 and not too bad to put in, just be careful of static electricity as with any electronic part. the part # for the board is 3917A-SDA-L11CP.

Changing just the motherboard will resolve the issue. If they won't cover it for free and you can solder, look up "No Display Radio Fix" on Google.
