Hi guys, i have an 03 accord and it is having issues with the stereo. Normally accord's stereo volume goes up to "40". For mine it used to be okay, but lately whenever the volume reaches or goes pass 22 the stereo shuts off. Once I turn off the stereo and turn it back on volume starts working. If i keep it less than 22 the stereo works fine, If i increase the volume again, same thing happens. Would anyone be able to help?

Take it to the dealer. Your radio could be one of the bad ones of that year.
they may likely replace it free of charge.

No not the case. THe product update is for the backlight going dim. All other radio functions work normally just the backlighting.

Crap, that's right... Though the OP may still be eligible for a free replacement. no harm in going to the dealer and asking.

If not it may be time for a newer (05+) accord radio from ebay.

IF you do buy a used radio make sure the 4 letter/# combination on the front of the radio faceplate are the EXACT same. You can run into weird problems by mismatching faceplates/ radios.
