hey, my speedometer isnt working. i need a speedometer schematic. anyone know where i can get one?

way it is now i have no speed reading or odometer. i have three different clusters all work but not in the car. two vss, one new and one used. both work. checked wiring and i have power all the way to the gauge cluster. just one wire has continuity in a few pins. thinking there is a resistor somewhere or something.

 

Im not sure where madmike and ghostaccord get their schematics from. But before anyone WILL help you. You will need to provide, year, model, sub model, engine and Trans type. Otherwise for all we know your looking for the schematic for a 1970 chevelle

OP- the 5th gen's have an issue with the speedo/odo.

Did the cruise control work at anytime - don't take this the wrong way but you have 4 posts.....so I can assume you just got the car?

You say you have three clusters and they all work? How is/was that verified?

What testing have you done from the three wires on the vss to the cluster>

 

Na, I have had the car sense 2004. Back when cruise control was on it, it worked fine. I have tested continuity on all three to the end of their destinations. Also lifted the car and did the wheel check with it rolling to verify vss worked properly. Also I have three different clusters from junkyards. One worked fine, drove the car around the yard before I pulled the cluster. I found a schematic finally and also found out the ground could be week. Friend of mine civic did the same and he spliced in an extra ground and It worked. Gonna try that next
