how do i turn off the mantinence light ,i already did a tune up, the car is a 01 ex 2dr ,do i just reset the ecu?

that would be your best bet...

 

Push the reset button, turn the key on, just when you think the reset button is making a permanent dent in your finger the maint light will flash, shut the key off.

with the key off hold the trip button (still holding it) turn the ignition on and let the light blink and then when it goes off completely release the trip and ur set
