Default 2003 AV6 Maintenance Required Light

I've got a 7th gen coupe with about 11k on it. The maint. required light came on a couple thousand miles back. Anyone know how to shut it off? I know there's nothing wrong with it, so my mechanic says. Oil changes were done on time every time.

Thanks in advance.

Next time, do a search....this question has been answered numerous times before. OR RTFM.

1. Press and Hold the reset button located at the odometer.

2. Turn the ignition key to ON only, keep it press til the maint light comes off (about 10sec.)
