Default MAINTAiNANCE REQ'D LIGHT for 2002 accord..

aye yah!! HONDA be tryin to play me .. in the manual it says that the CONSUMER can turn OFF the MAINTAINaNCE REQUIRED light by turnin the IGNITION to the ON status and WAIT 3 SEC while PRESSIN THE RESET BUTTON ON UR ODOMETER.. wHYtf is it NOT WORKIN!!!!!!!! oh and i caLLED HONDA and they SAID, "oNLY THE technician at DEALER CAN TURN IT OFF" <~~LYIN *** FAWKS! what to do!!!! ahhhhhhhhh.. it's soo AnNOYIN!!!!!

try it again this way:

press and hold down odometer button... turn key to on position (don't start)... continue holding button for around 20 seconds or so. the light should then flash and turn off.

since you are semi-local, i'll charge you 50dollar to turn it off..just messing with you.

the guy working at honda is a moron.

maint' req light will turn on as the miles go up..just some sort of reminder.

just press the trip meter bottem, turn the car on, wait about 5 second and it will turn itself off.

dont worry, it's not gonna blow up

thanks.. also the idea is to press the button first! then put it on the "ON" STATS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

THEY TRiED DOIN THAT TO ME. im like.. u dumfucks got me fuccKEd UP! sh00t!! then i read the manual.. obvisouly didnt quite get it.. but i got it now.. newaise.. since u knoe what to do now.. u'll save $ 300+ at 60,000 miles..
