1990 Honda Accord EX, Manual Transmission, 4 door.

My speedometer is broken. It rarley works sometimes.


I was wondering what the most expensive problem to fix a speedo would be and how much it would cost???

Is this an automatic, or a standard? You've two threads going for the same complaint

"Service engine soon" lamp on?

If so, you could have a bad Vss
It looks like this (manual Trans)

If not, suspect the cluster itself (which is the more expensive)

Service Engine soon lamp only comes on when im on the highway...

 

If you were to pull the DTC code, It would probably point to the VSS as well.
