Default check engine code 15

96 Honda Accord LX with 90,000 miles. ATF renewed with Honda brand fluid at 88,000 miles. Need help with D4 lite blinking a code 15. The service manual indicates this could be a main shaft speed sensor problem, and occasionally a countershaft speed sensor problem. If the electrical checks out, the service manual says it can still be a trasmission mechanical fault. Questions: 1. What transmission mechanical fault signals the compjuter to turn the engine check light to come on? 2. What are the renge of possibilities if the AT is removed and disassembled? Can anyone help with the troubleshooting shortfalls of the service manual here?

Default Re: check engine code 15 (dmrush)

at around 91k my D4 indicator started blinking(automatic which sucks), and it turned out to be that the pcm and lock up solenoids needed replaced....dont remember what the cost ended up being. i made the dealer pay for it, cause they sold it to me and then a day later this happened
