Default Header difference '95LX V.S. '95EX

What is the difference between LX and EX headers on a '95 Accord?
I know that stock EX exhaust is a little larger than LX.
Is EX header a direct bolt on to LX block?
What mods do I have to make?
Any info will help!
Thanx

the design is different.

the LX and DX headers are a 4 into 1 design. this means that the four ports meet to one, single port in the downpipe. the EX header is a 4-2-1 design. 2 of the ports come into one(outsides combine, and insides combines w/ themselves), and then those two tubs dump into 1 before the cat.

the 4-2-1 design on the EX header flows allot better...so much so that most of the cheap headers available from DC, Greddy, etc bascially compied the design, and just made it out of tubular steel instead of it being cast.

it will bolt up just fine to your LX head, you will have to modify your O2 sensor wiring to have it reach

The 1995 F22b1 VTec Exhaust manifold will bolt up to the F22b2 head; and they share the same exhaust manifold gasket and bolt pattern.
The F22b1 Manifold/Downpipe assembly is a familiar 4x2x1 system dumping into the Catalytic converter.

The 1995 F22b2 Manifold is a more restrictive 4x1 system dumping into a single downpipe.

There shouldn't be much of anything extra you need to do...

The F22b2 O2 sensor is on the top part I believe while on the F22b1 its down by the cat. You'll need to extend the harness somehow if going B2-->B1. That should be the only difference as far as fitment issues.

Thanx. All that helped. As you can tell I'm new to Honda differences. I used to own a 90 5.0 Stang and 96 Camero SS. So I spent lots of time learning American Muscle Car history. lol.
By the way any recomendations? stainless? ceramic coated? heat wrapped?. DC Sports or any other brands?

Grind the Mounting ears off the EX manifold (dress it up) and have it powder coated with high-temp paint. That way you avoid the irritating underhood noise from tube headers. That is, unless your going for the "look", then expect to pay $$$.

So I guess thats a no-no for stainless steel?
I found stainless steel headers on line for $99 at http://www.procarparts.com.
Check it out, see what you think, "yey or ney?"
I love doing lots of researching before I buy anything. Takes a while but pays off later on the streets.

If you dont plan on going all out with that motor just keep the stock EX headers. THe DC are practically copies of the EX ones anyways.

You can try to change the collector to a bigger size if you wish. Kamikaze(or Chikara) I think has a header for your car that has a 2.5" collector on it already. Some say its a good buy but then others disagree.

Greddy also has a SS version for the F22b1 but Ive never heard much about them. I have a set that was on my old Accord, 5th gen as well. Didnt notice anything major.
