Exhaust Question
Is there a difference between an EX model and a LX model with the exhaust? I have a 97 LX Sedan and after all my research they all say the headers are different. So would i need to install an EX header? Not sure if it would bolt up to my D16y7 header. Or will everything bolt right up? Any modifications?
I've never dealt with a full exhaust before.
Here is the exhaust I want to get...

Re: Exhaust Question
Big difference. The LX cat is located in the header vs. under the car on the EX model. To make an EX exhaust compatible you'd have to get an EX specific cat and header and reroute the O2 sensors.
Disclaimer: I have no personal experience with this setup I'm just going by what I've read over the years.

Re: Exhaust Question
EX/Si:
Manifold > downpipe > cat > B pipe > axle back/muffler.
Others (96-00):
Manifold/Cat assembly > long *** B pipe with downpipe integrated > axleback/muffler.
To use a EX exhaust, you need a header or manifold and downpipe from an EX, a EX/Si cat, and a EX/Si B pipe.
Basically you need everything from the manifold to the axle back to be 96-00 EX sedan. Then extend the secondary O2 sensor wires about 3-4 ft.

Re: Exhaust Question
Ex manifold and downpipe.
EX/si cat.
EX/Si B pipe.
Those will bolt on. But you have to buy ALL of it.
Then extend the secondary O2 wire. Do that on the harness side unless you're a magician and can solder stainless steel on the O2 sensor side.
