Gas drain plug?
I finally have a little time to work on my 01 accord and was going to drain the 3+ year old gas from the tank. I have it up on jack stands and have search all exposed sides and the bottom of the tank and can not find a drain. The car has 3/4 of a tank of old gas in it I need to get out. Please don't tell me there is no drain on a 01. At the end of the day I have to put the car back on the ground so if there is a drain would like to find it before then. Any help is appreciated.

Use the fuel pump
Disconnect the fuel feed line - pick your spot. Set it so you can "catch" the gas. Hot wire the fuel pump.......done. Of course don't run the pump dry for very long.

Re: Gas drain plug?
After looking at it yesterday afternoon I think I am going to go in from the top of the tank by pulling the fuel pump out. Then I should be able to get the gas out with one of those cheap hand siphon pumps. It might take me awhile because there is at least 10 gallons in there. That way I do not have to worry about running the cars fuel pump dry or the possibility of clogging the screen. Just wonder how I am going to get rid of 10 gallons of 3 year old gas.

Access cover in the trunk.... but instead of disturbing the fuel pump why not buy 10 ft of vinyl tubing (4 bucks) at home depot and siphon the water out.
