Chasing down noises, wheel bearing or warped disk?
Hey all,
I have been chasing down some noises on my basket case 2001 accord 4cylinder. I had a bad wheel bearing on the front right side, so I pulled a spindle from the yard and installed it. Was still getting some noise from the rear, so I installed brand new bearings on the back. I noticed the back brake pads were worn uneven and the disc looked pretty bad. I replaced them too, new pads and discs in the rear.
Took it for a drive and the rear seems perfect, but I am still getting some noise while turning, vibration/scraping noise, from the front right side.
My thinking is that the bad wheel bearing will totally knacker the pad/disc due to vibration. Perhaps the front is still suffering warped/uneven pads? Should I just swap in some new pads and discs on the front? I'd hate to have to do the front bearings now, those are a pita.
