Well, against my better judgement I helped a close friend of mine with his timing belt/ balancer belt/ water pump replacement on a 98 lx sedan (accord). I always like to do things by the book (helms) and he didn't have one.

It was a pain in the *** doing it at his apartment parking deck, but we got through it fine, seemingly without issue.

But now, after a couple of days he says he's noticed some oil and coolant leaked out through the timing belt area.....

Obviously, this is not good.

We did replace the water pump and also removed and then installed the oil pump again.

So I'm guessing we didn't get a good seal on either - perhaps because we didn't tighten them enough - and I was afraid to overtighten.....

If you have the tq specs handy, I'd certainly appreciate it. It looks like we'll have to remove the crank pulley again and recheck everything.

I'm most familiar with dohc b-series, and the F is not my specialty. Perhaps one of you guys has the helms online in a .zip file? If you could, please pm me the ftp site or something?
