water pump
its not too hard if you have some mechanic experience, i had to replace my timing belt last week and i did the water pump and belt tensioner while i was down there. what i did was take off all the belts and valve cover, unbolt the driver side motor mount with a jack under it and a peice of wood between the jack and the oil pan, and lower the engine alittle to expose the crank pulley. remove all the plastic to expose the water pump. you need to remove the timing belt to get it to so make sure you mark your belt positions. once you pull the belt off and loose you should be able to unbolt your water pump, put the new one on... make it nice and tight, and put the belt back on with the PROPER timing or you will blow your engine up. Let us know which engine you have and that will help us with resetting your timing (which is good to do)
i did my water pump on my single can under 3 hours. the hardest thing was removing the crank pulley. i marked all the timing marks before removing the timing belt. i've done this a few time so is very easy 4 me.
i was just trying to see if it was possible for me.i think i can do it.but if need be i can run down the street to a mechanic if i mess something up.what about the torque specs?
