AC cycling on and off when hot.
I have a 95 accord ex.
AC cycles on and off when it is warmed up and I am at idle. If I'm driving, it works fine.
Fans shut on and off also.
When this occurs I hear a popping or knocking noise from the passenger side behind the glovebox approx.
I cleaned radiator fins with water and washed alot of dirt out.
It did help and now takes a bit longer before it starts cycling.
My friend says it's not pulling enough air through the radiator and causing it to overheat and the high pressure relay to cycle. When the car is moving more than 20 mph, it works fine.
Any other help would be great.

Re: (rokko)
I have the exact problem. I brought my car to my mechanic and found out that a switch is loose and not connect properly to the radiator (I think, sorry I'm not expert in car). That's why you get on and off air-cond. You might want to look that up. Mine is a 98 EX and the switch is just in front of the radiator on the passenger side. Let me know if you got any question. Once you connect it firmly, the problem solved!!
Good Luck.
