Default overheating

I have a 99 honda accord with a f20b in it. Sometimes when the ac is on the car will overheat and if I give it some gas, the needle falls back to half. When the car drive it doesnt overheat only when stopped sometimes. Any suggestions

Are you sure the coolant in the rad is at the proper level? Is all of the air out of the system? Do BOTH fans come on when the car is on and the AC is on?

Sounds like the radiator isnt up to par or has a lot of debris or even the condensor is bad.

Its possible the water pump fins are worn/corroded.

You need to check if fans are coming on when the car is starting to overheat. Its possible the fan switch is bad.

pretty common when the coolant is kept up and replaced. Or when people put that stupid stop leak crap in it and too much water
